| "Here There Be Dragons" This is one of my "tiny embroideries." It's a three part framed piece that is hand stamped & hand embroidered on vintage shirt fabric & felt. (The glass has been removed from the frame for photographic purposes, to prevent reflection & glare) Dragons have traditionally been symbols of royalty & strength, as well as hoarders of shiney objects & wealth, so there is a kind of a balance between nobility & selfishness. They were thought of as peace keepers & warlike, another balance between opposites... |
