Winter Stuff

I can finally show off my Winter Ice necklace. I love the way it turned out :), even if I didn't win :(, it's modern & has a certain feel of the Orient to it. In retrospect, I probably should have used a cropped shot or maybe just re-shot it completely (product shots are still not my strong suit, when it comes to photography). I wanted to show the whole piece & not just a portion of it & I wanted to get the shot in, so I could participate. If I enter again, I may just list the piece, I notice others had theirs listed, so maybe the rules have changed (sorry I made everyone wait so long to find out who was who)

The winner of the YCSI guild contest was Hill Country, with their lovely peyote beaded bracelet. Congratulations to them! This is one of my favorites. I think I need to try this kind of beading again, myself. I remember how much fun it was!

Here is the link to the YCSI blog, so you can see the other entries & what studios they are from. Everyone did a lovely job. Each entry has a link to it's studio, so you can have a look around at their other pretty stuff.

Thanks to everyone who participated!

(I'm feeling really sick today. I promise to have another post up soon) SAM

That necklace is really cute. :) I have a fetish for jewelry, but I hardly ever wear it. I have three main pieces I wear everyday. I don't really color coordinate. Each piece is silver. The necklace I got from Aeropostale on a beach trip, then there's earrings I bought from Kohl's (recently, before they broke, I was wearing earrings with three small interlocking hoops), and a turtle bracelet my cousin gave me that she got on her beach trip. Everyday I wear them. :) Unless, I forget for some reason to put them on. Then it's not a good day. I feel naked without my jewelry.

Hi,

I tried to leave a comment on your blog but for some reason I am never able to when the comment form is set up as yours is. Anyway, your necklace is gorgeous! Sorry you didn't win and I hope you feel better soon.

Happy SITS Saturday Sharefest!

Cheers :-)
