Post It Tuesday

I love to read, though I have less time these days. There's not a lot worse than the feeling of having wasted your time on a bad book. You keep thinking, it'll get better & it never does. It's time you'll never get back, time you could have spent doing something else...Ever had that feeling?

I hate when that happens. Now this begs the question, are you talking about a certain book in particular? Say the one you just finished?

Just stopping in to say thanks for coming by on my SITS day and making it so memorable. Your time and words mean the world to me.

Lots of yummy love,

Oh no! I hope no-one ever feels like this about a book that I write! *worried*

Hi and Happy SITS Saturday!

I love that quote so much! I have been known to throw a book against the wall if it was just full of the bad.

How succinct.

I just finished, "The Help" which was definitely a non-throwing book. It was great.

Lovely to meet you. Have a great day.

Most of the books I read are by authors I know won't do that to me, but sometimes you pick up a book and think "can't wait to jump in" and then wish you hadn't after you had..

Stopping in from SITS

I hate it when you think it's a great book and you can't stay away, only for it to have a crappy ending!

Hi Sam!

I'm from the Lady Blogger Tea Party.
Yes, I really hate that! I work for a book publishing and sometimes they make us read "boring" material. In this case, there is a little gem for us called Water For Elephants. Everyone loves it - reached the NY Times bestseller list but I read it and it was a snorefest! When asked to review it - I really couldn't! I was so mad because I could've been reading Twilight and instead I was reading that catastrophe!

What a great proverb! I have this thing where I feel that once I've started a book, that I must finish it, but I'm getting better at just admitting when something sucks and cutting my losses.

Doesn't a bad book make you feel like you wasted hours of your life? And yet a good book just makes you feel like time stands still.

I have been struggling to read lately, mostly because of having two babies, but I'm making an effort to read Eat, Pray, Love because I forsee a girls night out to see the movie :)

Thanks for stopping by, everyone! It is a great proverb. With so many great books out there, who wants to waste time reading a bad one, maybe the bad ones should be thrown against a wall or something.
